Brenda Stringfellow is the assistant director of the Mobile Karate Club

Brenda began her training in the Martial Arts at the University of South Alabama, studying Shotokan Karate. After meeting and then marrying, she began training with Carl in Shito Ryu karate and Modern Arnis with Carl and Bruce Chiu.

Brenda began her teaching career, as the first children's instructor of Shito Ryu Karate at the Hearin-chandler YMCA. She still teaches, on a part time basis.

Carl Stringfellow is the Chief Instructor and Director of the Mobile Karate Club.

Carl began training in karate in the mid 1970's at the Chickasaw karate Club at the age of 21. 

Carl opened his first school in the mid 1990's at Satsuma High school under a community courses program, and has since moved to his current location.

Carl has trained with the late Professor Remy Presas, the founder of Modern Arnis, and is currently affiliated with Master Bruce Chiu, founder of Arnis International.

Carl founded the Musha Kai Karate Kumiai (The Warrior Association), teaching traditional karate, and Warrior FMA, dedicated to the teaching of Filipino Martial Arts.

Ben Sayner is a former Tae Kwon Do student, where he achieved the rank of Black Belt.

Ben transferred to Mobile Karate Club where he has since earned another Black Belt, and currently teaches the early class at the Hearin-Chandler YMCA.

Ben is also training in the Filipino Martial Arts, and has been a personal student of Carl's, where he has been studying the intricacies of the techniques within the movements of Karate.
